About the brewery of The Joker Bar:

It produces three sorts of beer: Helles, Märzen and Dunkel. All equipment of the brewery was produced by the Austrian company “Salm”.

The brewing unit is located in the hall of The Joker beer bar. The hall of the brewery has 18 tanks with the capacity of 3 tons. There are vertical and horizontal tanks. Fermentation and maturation of beer is going in in vertical tanks. Then the beer is poured into the horizontal tanks.

The yeast settles to the bottom there and the beer becomes filtered and transparent. The ready-made beer comes into the The Joker Bar and the Lobby Bar. This equipment allows to make to 1.5 ton of beer a day.

Sorts of beer:

  • The "HELLES" Light Beer
    • Wort extract % not less than12
    • Volume percentage of alcohol % not less than 4,5
    • Caloric value, kcal per 100g. of beer, 46 kcal.
    • Carbohydrates, in 100g. of beer, not more than – 4,7 g.
    Light beer brewed on a special recipe from selected malts. It has a light golden colour with pronounced hop bitterness. In the taste of the "Helles" beer fine hop bitterness prevails and gives it a subtly tart taste and aroma.
  • The “MÄRZEN” Semi-Dark Beer
    • Wort extract % not less than12,5
    • Volume percentage of alcohol % not less than 4,3
    • Caloric value, kcal per 100g. of beer, 47 kcal.
    • Carbohydrates, in 100g. of beer, not more than – 5,1 g.
    The name "Märzen" comes from the fact that in the past they cooked strong beer in some breweries in spring, namely in March (MRZ). The “Märzen” beer refers to the dense sorts of beer, it has a slightly sweetish taste and a pronounced malty aroma.
  • The "DUNKEL" Dark Beer
    • Wort extract % not less than13
    • Volume percentage of alcohol % not less than 4,2
    • Caloric value, kcal per 100g. of beer, 50 kcal.
    • Carbohydrates, in 100g. of beer, not more than – 5,7 g.
    Dark beer is brewed from the best varieties of light and dark malts. The "Dunkel" Beer has a slightly sweetish malt flavour combined with light hop bitterness and flavour of roasted malt. Roasted malt used in the preparation of this beer gives it the taste of toasted bread crust.
